Flood Warning - Fort Edward (along the Hudson River areas)

This is an important message for all residents and community areas along the Hudson River from Fort Edward south. As you may know, the National Weather Service in Albany previously issued a FLOOD WARNING for the Hudson River at Fort Edward, minor flooding is currently occurring and the level is expected to continue rising through overnight tonight before cresting sometime on Saturday.

The Town and Fort Edward Village Office officials and Fort Edward Fire Department and Police Departments are urging all residents in the areas bordering the Hudson River to be aware and alert for rising water levels and the potential for flooding in low lying areas.

Please be aware and prepared for rising waters, continue to monitor the local forecast and levels with the National Weather Service in Albany or your local weather sources! Remember to never drive through flooded roadways and if you experience any water related emergencies, Dial 911.
